Mike Oldfield

Майкл Гордон Олдфилд (полное имя на англ. Michael Gordon Oldfield). Британский мультиинструменталист и композитор. Родился 5 мая 1953 года в Великобритании. Дебютный альбом «Tubular Bells» был записан музыкантом в 19 лет (издан в 1973 году).

В 1994 году был издан шестнадцатый студийный альбом Майка Олдфилда «The Songs of Distant Earth», записанный под впечатление романа Артура Кларка «Песни далекой Земли» и который является, на наш взгляд, лучшим творением Майкла Олдфилда.
